Kicheko is proud to announce its new service called “Kicheko Broadband” which is a WiFi system using the 802.11b/g protocol standard with full access to e-mail, internet and voip services like net2phone and skype at the most affordable rates. The service is currently available in Moshi town area only but efforts are underway to roll it over to other towns and regions in the near future.

Kicheko Broadband service is different from other traditional wireless systems in that it is available everywhere in the signal coverage area like a cloud. In those areas with signal coverage, one has just to open and put on a Laptop computer, Palmtop computer, PDA, Desktop computer or wireless phone with a Wi-Fi 802.11b/g enabled wireless card built in or attached to it and the network will be detected immediately.

Once detected you only need to double click the wireless icon on the system tray and follow the instructions which appears on your computer depending on the type and version of the operating system you are using. For Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2 you just need to click OK and the connection will be established instantly. To facilitate easier and faster connection, the service has not been encrypted and therefore connection is immediate and fast.

After being connected to "kicheko-broadband" network the next step is to call a page from the internet and the Kicheko Broadband Welcome screen will come up with access options:

1. The first option is to key in your "username" and "password" for those regular users who want to have access for a week, a month, three months or six months;

2. The second option is to type an "Access Code" which can be bought at various points all around Moshi town including Hotel receptions in these hotels. Access codes are available for 30 minutes, one hour, two hours, four hours and one day. The rates are quite affordable;

3. The third option is self registration through an integrated "Paypal" and "Credit Card" payment system which is one of the world's most secure online payment system with more than 100 million accounts worldwide.

From there onwards, the internet and the world is yours to surf!
